This
is the house as it looks today. The house is 5,000 square feet.
Our family of seven built the house nearly by ourselves. Some
friends occasionally stopped by to lend a hand, but for the most
part, we built it ourselves.
AT
THE TIME WE STARTED, WE HAD NEVER BUILT ANYTHING! The final cost
of the house was around $60,000.00. |

This
is a fully functional 2,500 square foot woodshop that also serves
as a meeting hall. There is a large 3hp tablesaw, 7hp planer, miter
saws, routers, jointers and dust collection. Everything runs perfectly
and nothing is connected to the electric company. AT THE TIME WE
STARTED, WE HAD NEVER BUILT ANYTHING! The final cost of the building
was approximately $10,000.00 and $4,000.00 of that was for the concrete
floor. |

The
heating bill last winter was $65.00 - and it wasn't because the
house is not located in cold weather. The DVD shows exactly what
we do to heat the 5,000 square foot house. It's easier than you
might think.
This
photo was taken out the front window of the house looking back
toward the south.
THIS
WINTER (2006) WE HAVE ONLY SPENT $5.00 ON HEAT! |
